Baku, Finance Time. There was signed the contract on connection of “AtaBank” OJSC to “MasterCard” international payment system.

This information was provided by Mr Elnur Osmanov,the member of the Board of “AtaBank” OJSC . According to his words, “connection of “AtaBank” to “MasterCard” international payment system will give opportunity to make operations by means of “MasterCard” and “Maestro” cards via ATMs of the bank. The full membership of “AtaBank” OJSC in ”MasterCardEuropeSprl” international payment system will allow the bank to issue the international payment cards.

Within the emission “AtaBank” will issue Maestro, MasterCardStandard, MasterCardGold, MasterCardPlatinum cards. These cards will be inherent in same functions as the cards of Visa International payment system and they will be issued in accordance with the volume of received orders. The possibilities of these cards to withdraw cash in ATMsat the territory of republic and also in the ATMs of more than 200 countries, possibility of non-cash payment for purchase and services in the shopping centers and also the wide use of these cards for electron payments via Internet will allow to increase the volume of production of these cards.

It should be noted, that “AtaBank” OJSC cooperates with VISA international payment system since 2004. Now “AtaBank” OJSC is the principal member of VISA international payment system.  The number of issued cards makes 26.000 pieces. The number of AtaBank’s ATMs makes 77 units and the number of Pos-terminals makes 8845 units.
