Above AZN 1.1 mln have been paid to population in connection with the return of USSR-period banking savings within two days.

FinMinister Samir Sharifov says from June 1, the returning process has started and Kapital Bank received 25,000 applications up to this day: ‘Of them lump sum payment was carried out on 10,000. Other 15,000 – are under investigation by special commission. In general, we expect this process to lat until the end of the current year’.

The minister also added that IDPs also apply and they will obtain savings account passbook after the relevant investigation of the special commission.
