Baku, Finance Time. "AtaBank" OJSC started offering mobile ATM service “AtaMatik” in Shamkir region - a service designed for social workers, teachers and other governmental employees, as well as ordinary citizens living in remote areas in order to provide flexibility in the use of debit cards.
"AtaBank" OJSC previously tested a pilot project for mobile ATM service "AtaMatik" in Shamkir and Gadabay regions; now it will be operating on a regular basis for making the bank closer to social workers in the region.
The features of "AtaMatik" are not limited to the ATM service. Thanks to necessary equipment installed in "AtaMatik" vehicles and to the bank employees, citizens can easily carry out all banking transactions in the vehicle.
Director of Business Development Department at "AtaBank" OJSC Elnur Osmanov said: "The main objective of the project is providing banking services in the regions, where there are no ATMs. Special vehicles having strict safety measures and ATMs installed in it were ordered to meet the need. The vehicles are provided with generators for uninterrupted power supply and lighting and with other necessary devices for easier use of the service”.
A pilot project was carried out in Duyarli village of Shamkir and Zakhmat village of Gadabay regions. Considering that the service was of great help for citizens and gained sympathy in the short time, the number of vehicles equipped with ATMs increased to four. The “AtaMatik” service is planned to be expanded to the remote villages of Shamkir, Gazakh, Tovuz and Gadabay regions.
