Baku, Finance Time. The campaign started in September upon the initiative and support of the “AtaBank” OJSC and international payment system “Visa Inc” is over. According to the terms of the campaign, clients making non-cash payments using POS-terminals of “AtaBank” in “Neptun” supermarket chain won free tickets to the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
During the campaign (one of the sponsors of which was “Visa Inc”) the clients making payments by Visa card through “AtaBank” POS-terminals received tickets for all stages of the World Cup. Thus, clients who made payments in amount of 20-50 manats could gain tickets to group stage of the championship. Those carrying out card payment operation equal to 50-100 manats had a chance to go to a quarter-final. Tickets to a semi-final were provided to people that made purchase in amount more than 100 manats.
It should be mentioned that the number of tickets distributed within the frame of the campaign was limited. Generally, active clients could win 590 tickets, including 516 – to group stage, 54 – to a quarter-final, and 24 – to a semi-final.
The main purpose of the campaign was to stimulate non-cash payments through POS-terminals installed at various commercial, residential and public service facilities. At the moment, more than 9000 POS-terminals of “AtaBank” are functioning in Baku, Sumqayit and other regions. In order to stimulate non-cash transactions by cards, the Bank is implementing another campaign named “Pay non-cash, get cash”.
